Similar to bad weather swept through the northern region the previous evening, the home side blew Manchester United aside at the their home ground. It was a emphatic three goal win for their manager's side due to goals from Knaak, Bunny Shaw and Lauren Hemp. It was a result that truly announced their leadership claims as they strengthened their position at the top of the table.

Consecutive Losses for United

This result signalled consecutive league setbacks for Skinner's side for the first time since May 2024, putting them a sizable gap off the top team with their championship aspirations severely dented.

Manchester United's ability to manage domestic and European soccer with a thin roster has been a hotly discussed subject since they qualified for the Champions League. Team Changes
